Dolores Spriggs

Dolores (Dee) Mary Spriggs, 78, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away on March, 7, 2026 in Cornerstone Hospice House, The Villages,  FL.

Dee was born in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Louise Camerieri on August 15, 1947.  She went to New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, NY and then moved to Long Island, where she attended and graduated from Patchogue-Medford High School. She worked as a retail sales associate, and also as a radio airtime sales representative. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, playing games on her phone, and was a fan of Nascar racing and Hallmark movies (Especially Christmas Movies!)

Dee is survived by her daughter, Gina (David) Alcantara, and son, Jimmy DeLeon, her grandchildren, Anthony Tafoya (Sabrina Rose), Cheyenne, Dominic, Isabella, Hailey, and Damien DeLeon, and three great-grandchildren, Jayden Rose, Lucas and Aurora Tafoya, and brother Richard (Elena) Camerieri. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Louise Camerieri and her brother Joseph Camerieri Jr.

Dee was a feisty Italian woman with a strong personality. She loved and was loved by her immediate and extended families, old and new friends, and her beloved pets.

Funeral service will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Ocala, FL on March 27, 2026 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation in Memory of Dee,  2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL  32778.
